Sharing the Goodness in our Communities

Christmas is a joyous time for many of us. However, it can also be a very difficult time for many as well. This past Christmas season, Hatfield Quality Meats and the Clemens family held several events to try and bring some joy to those families who were in difficult situations and not able to enjoy Christmas and its true meaning.

Hatfield, along with members of the Clemens family served two Christmas dinners to families in shelters of the Salvation Army. On December 12th a delicious meal was served to those in the Allentown Salvation Army Shelter, and on December 20th another Christmas meal was served to about 40 people within the Norristown Salvation Army Shelter.

The delicious meal, cooked by the Hatfield Quality Meats Café, consisted of pork loin and gravy, string beans almandine, rice pilaf, rolls and butter, drinks, and crème filled éclairs for dessert. Of course, “Santa” Smiley was there as well to bring cheer and give all children gifts of a beanie Smiley doll and HQM footballs.

These events were ways that Hatfield and the Clemens family could give back to others and Share the Goodness by helping to bring families together for Christmas.
